Electroformed Copper and Quartz Pendant With Seeds and Malachite Beads
Electroforming copper is a chemical process where a thick, structural layer of copper is grown onto an object through electrolysis. Creating a durable, intricate and light weight piece of jewellery from organic materials like leaves, crystals, even plastic. It builds a new structural layer rather than a thin coating.
The Quartz points in this pendant are dyed with a surface coating (dipping method ). This technique uses alcohol inks or specialised varnish dyes to paint or dip the quartz.
Malachite has distinctive banded or swirling shades of green. Symbolically used to help break self destructive habits and encourage risk taking and personal responsibility. Therefore, aids in transformation, growth and deep emotional healing.
Quartz Length 4.5cm - width 2.5cm - chain hangs at 30cm
Handcrafted by Leaf Seed Pod Shell, Australia
